With the gross iniquities in the country’s socio-economic landscape millions who are disadvantaged, disabled, heading childhood headed homes and even the elderly rely on their monthly stipend from the South African Social Security Agency or SASSA to survive. There was uncertainty as to whether grants will be paid in May but that was since resolved but it seems the storm is far from over.

LeAnne Dlamini and Amanda Black
Leanne is a singer, songwriter who was discovered while giving praising and worship at Rhema Church by her husband; producer Sipho Dlamini. She made it to top 20 on X Factor UK in 2015, participated in Strictly Come Dancing and has a SAMA award to her name. She has released albums, with her latest album ‘Warrior’ released in 2016.
Amanda Black is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter who was first introduced to us on Idols SA in 2015. Although she made it to top 7, Amanda quickly made an impact with her debut album ‘Amazulu’ reaching platinum status only 3 weeks after its release while acquiring 5 Metro FM nominations for her efforts.

Zwai Bala and MK
Our guest today hails from the dusty streets of Kwa-Nabuhle outside Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. He knew from a very young age that music was what he was meant to do and made history as the first black member of the famous Drakensberg Boys Choir during apartheid. He was one of the members of the trio TKZee which first broke onto the big-time music scene in 1997.
Mzwandile “Zwai” Bala has since launched a solo career in gospel music and his obvious love for music seems to have come full circle as he is also a musical director, composer, songwriter, arranger, teacher and public speaker.
