Khuli Chana’s MotswakOriginator Documentary and Hazzadaz Move Music Video debuts today

Thursday 11 October 2012, on Channel O at 19h00 CAT

Khuli Chana is breaking ground and taking the African hip hop game to another level with the release of his first documentary the MotswakOriginator. The one hour long documentary pays homage to Khuli Chana’s rise to fame, documenting Khuli Chana's journey of the making of his now classic solo debut album the MotswakOriginator. This documentary gives viewers an inside look on the highs and lows, sacrifices and rewards of the journey that has now positioned Khuli Chana as one of Africa’s leading lights in the Hip Hop genre. One should “prepare to be captivated by an honest and poignant account told both by Khuli and those who were instrumental in shaping his journey” shares Refiloe Ramogase, Director at DreamTeamSA.

Khuli Chana’s MotswakOriginator documentary is just part one of the exclusive Khuli Chana premier on Channel O. After the documentary debuts, Channel O will premier Khuli Chana’s new music video Hazzadaz Move taken off his soon to be released 2nd solo album Lost in Time. "In true Khuli Chana "#ChanaPower" style, the music video includes some of his fans that were invited via both his Facebook Fan Page (www.facebook.com/khulichana01) and his Twitter account (@khulichana01) to come and join in on the fun. The video and song usher in Spring/Summer and the fun and memorable times they come along with.

Khuli Chana sets the standard yet again with this video, done by the legendary Bomb Shelter productions with Kutlwano Ditsele as producer and Zeno Peterson on camera. The video has been co-directed by two of the finest directors in the country: the game changing Teboho Mahlatsi (who changed the face of SA television forever with Yizo Yizo) and Thabang Molewa (Jacob’s Cross).

Khuli Chana explains the documentary as a story about how he became the person he has always dreamt of being. "To live on in the minds and hearts of the generations who will follow u is to cheat death" that's what I wanted to achieve says Khuli Chana.
