Angie Stone, untaught as Angela Laverne Brown on
December 18, 1961, is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record
producer, and occasional actress. She will headline Macufe’s 2012 Divas
Concert, featuring our local sisters Lira (Recently released “LIRA: The Captured Tour – Concert Film”), Zahara (DVD went platinum in two days) and Maleh (Her album titled ‘Step-Child’
is currently in stores).
Angie has been nominated for more than two Grammy
Awards. She has been most successful on the R&B charts, with more than
three top 10 albums, including a number one album, and ten singles. She has
sold over 1.4 millions of albums in the U.S. And over 5 million albums
worldwide.
Angie will be featuring our local best ladies, this
promises to be the best Divas Concert one should get ready for.
