JOHANNESBURG: Following allegations that CEO of Top Chap Media, Mobi Dixon is allegedly the cause of house vocalist Nichume's death, the company on Thursday issued a statement that they are aware of the allegations and are ''deeply saddnsad" by such allegations.
"On Thursday 6 June, we experienced the tragic loss of one of our rising stars and beloved member of our team Nichume. At this moment we are grieving the loss of our sister and friend and it will take time to come to terms with her passing," reads the statement issued by Top Chap Media.
They further said that they are aware and deeply saddened by the allegations against Top Chap Media and their Chief Executive Officer Mobi Dixon by Nichume's family.
"We will respect the wishes of the family and refrain from making any further statements or comments about Nichume.
"In respect for the deceased and honouring her legacy, we believe the main priority now should be giving her a dignified send off," the company said.
They said that they will issue further communication on this matter in due course after the funeral.
"Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family, friends and fans of Nichume. #RIPNICHUME," concluded the statement.
According to reports, Nichume Siwundla reportedly took her own life by jumping off a building in Johannesburg, South Africa. The tragedy happened on June 6, 2019.
