With just 3 weeks left to Dance Cultures National Holiday on 3rd October, Spring Fiesta sent party goers anticipation into overdrive on Friday night (September 11) when their promo debuted on SABC1's Live Amp.
With the campaign tag lines #WeHaveNoBeef and #HouseVSHipHop; this was no regular event TV promo with just announcement, voice over and background music... No! In true Spring Fiesta fashion they took a risk, raised the bar and set a whole new standard for events promos by creating a short 'Spoof movie' on all the recent House VS Hip-Hop 'Twars' that's been happening of late.
Organiser of the event, Ricardo Da Costa says "We wanted to do something different and fun that also addresses the beef between House & Hip Hop scenes. Inspired by a fight scene from Anchorman 2, we want to send out a clear message that at Spring Fiesta we have no beef, this is where dance culture unites."
The risk paid off as it got people talking, trending on social media and ticket sales flying!
And if you're fast enough you could still get hold of some tickets as they are almost sold out.
