South African alternative soul singer and songwriter, Bongi Mvuyana, has released her debut album, Dopamine, digitally today.
Bongi's music off her highly anticipated album has garnered attraction as far as Nigeria and Norway. Her music has charted on stations such as Metro FM in South Africa and on Beat 99 FM in Nigeria which just goes to show how universal a language music truly is.
With Bongi’s global audience, releasing Dopamine digitally first was a no brainer. Physical disks of Dopamine will be available later this year to cater for the various markets.
“It has been a long journey creating this music and now the time has finally come to share it with the world. My music is influenced by genres spanning from South African and African traditional music, to classical, jazz and more contemporary alternative music so I am looking forward to seeing how the market receives something new with familiar undertones. It's a really exciting time in my career” expresses Bongi.
Dopamine explores the different sides of love; the happy colourful parts as well as the sad and dark moments.
“The label prides itself in presenting unique, musical, groundbreaking and talented artists and music to the world. We believe with Bongi and Dopamine we have exceeded ourselves” shares Benza, Vth Season Managing Director.
