ANN7 SOUTH AFRICAN OF THE YEAR 2014’ AWARDS VOTING CLOSES TONIGHT!

 ANN7 thanks public for the overwhelming response to South African of the Year (SATY) awards. Public vote have been pouring in since the public voting were opened on 1^st August 2014.

ANN7 marketing team went to busiest corners of Johannesburg, Durban & Cape Town to engage with public around the SATY awards concept and secure their votes. Voting activations were held in Johannesburg & Pretoria taxi ranks, King Zwelitini stadium in Durban, Sandton City, WITS & TUT campuses, Wonderpark & Sashonghuve malls in Pretoria to name a few.

The Super Weekend Activation with Kwaito star Mandoza at TUT Main campus, Pretoria, Westgate Mall and Maponya Mall  on 22^nd, 23^rd & 24^th August 2014 respectively was super success with people from all walks of life taking part in the voting process to choose their favourite nominees in each category.

The SATY award winners will be announced at a glittering gala event on September 6 with star-studded line-up of South African artists performing which includes Mafikizolo, LIRA, Junior Mambazo, Zahara & MiCASA.

The public voting closes on this Wednesday 27^th, which then will be combined with outcome of the jury votes to arrive at the final winners for each category. The entire process will be audited by KPMG to ensure transparency.

The winners in the below categories will be felicitated by a host of dignitaries from related fields:

1 Trendsetting Celebrity of the Year

2 Campaign of the Year

3 Sportsperson of the Year

4 Business Person of the Year

5 Spirit of Humanity Award

6 Young South African of the Year

7 South African of the Year
