"Two weeks ago I was here at home. We spent the whole Sunday chatting. That was the last time I was with him. I AM VERY HURT," said Zahara.
Only hours before taking to stage, Zahara received a
devastating message, reports the Daily Sun.
It is reported that her brother and his friend had been
found dead in the bushes. They had been brutally murdered. At about 3pm on
Sunday afternoon; Zahara received a message telling her to rush home to
Phumlani village, near East London, immediately.
“I was preparing for my 7pm gig in Ekurhuleni,” said Zahara,
South Africa’s famous singer and songwriter who rose to fame with the song hit Loliwe that was released in September 6, 2011.
She told the daily paper that her helper to her Mbuyiseli
(25) (brother) had been shot so she had to rush home. Her brother was shot with
his friend Thanduxolo Zumani (36).
Zahara said that Mbuyiseli was the last born in the house and they were very close.
Police have confirmed the incident and they are
investigating a case of murder. No arrests have been made yet.
