MTN BUSHFIRE
2014, Swaziland’s international festival of the arts will be taking place from
May 30th – June 1st 2014. This year’s festival promises
the most diverse line-up to date, with the festival set to become the largest
world music festival in the region. MTN
BUSHFIRE 2014 is increasing the global diversity of its line-up to create
something truly unique in Southern Africa.
Already well established
as a top Pan-African festival, and named by MTV as one of the Top 9 music
festivals to attend in the world, and who described it as “an amazing balance of traditional African, Afro-contemporary,
and international acts in the line-up.”
Festival goers
will enjoy dozens of artists from all over the world performing in an 100%
socially responsible festival. More than just a music festival, MTN BUSHFIRE is
a celebration of live music, theatre, poetry, film, circus, dance and visual
arts. A vibrant handcraft market, family-friendly performances & KidZone as
well as the interactive art and dialogue space, The Barn, combine to create a
magically eclectic three day entertainment experience.
Already for MTN BUSHFIRE 2014, artists from over 8
countries have been confirmed including diverse acts such as the much-loved and
70’s inspired Bogota based Colombian Salsa artists, La 33, Mokoomba
from Zimbabwe, Under Kontrol all the way from France, Slovenian legends Red
Five Point Star, Imperial Tiger Orchestra all the way from Switzerland and
hot off their recent Grammy win - South Africa’s very own Ladysmith
Black Mambazo.
