'Generubbish' Stars on a BITTER STRIKE over contracts!

With all due RESPECT if Mfundi is saying he'll write-off the characters on STRIKE - He is like a dog barking with no teeth at all!

Reports have surfaced that Generations on SABC1 studios were empty yesterday as headline cast members stayed away from the biggest South African TV show and most watched soap - and Mfundi Vundla has no soft spot for those who chose to strike.

He said he had enough episodes in the bag to go on without the actors with whom he’s at loggerheads, and would write them out of the show if the dispute could not be resolved.

It is also reported that Generations' big name cast members were all a no-show on the first day they were supposed to be back on Monday after a two week break. Cast members and Generations executive producer Mfundi Vundla are embroiled in a bitter and growing contract dispute in which the soap stars are demanding bigger salaries and longer term contracts without write out clauses.

Should they continue to strike, does this honestly mean Mfundi will write them off? This will dent the soapie's reputation that has been always at stake with TV Critics.

It is believed that the stars such as Sophie Ndaba, Katlego Danke, Menzi Ngubane,Anga Makubalo, Thami Mngqolo, Xolisa Xaluva, Zenande Mfenyana, Mandla Gaduka, Winnie Modise and Maggie Benedict left the Generations' studios in Auckland Park - SABC dark!
