GRANT’S CELEBRATES THE AWARD WINNING SHERRY CASK FINISH LAUNCH IN SA!

Tuesday - VIPs gathered to meet the renowned Grant's global brand ambassador Ludo Ducrocq, for an exclusive interactive whisky food pairing experience, as he introduced guests to the Sherry Cask Finish, set to hit South African shores on 1 August 2013.

The Sherry Cask Finish is the latest addition to the Grant’s Whisky family in South Africa, alongside Grant’s Family Reserve and recently released big brother, the Grant’s 12 year old.

Local entertainers, Psyfo and Nandi Mngoma ensured for an unforgettable launch experience, ending the night off on a high note.

So we headed to the launch that was held at the L'ancienne Residence, the very warmly ignited venue kept everyone warm, enjoying the Grant's selection of Whisky, the very new to South Africa Sherry Cask Finish, Grant's 12 year old Whisky and Grant's smooth whiskey, each was served with specially prepared food to suit and complement the taste of the product(s).

Nandi Mngoma with her irresistible smile closed the launch with a high note and one would swear it was the opening of the actual event...
The event MC was South African musician, actor Psyfo Ngwenya who did a wonderful job, in interacting with the audience and throwing some funny jokes to keep the night going, but did not go to the level of being a comedian, we leave that to the likes of Trevor Noah!

Grant’s is produced by William Grant & Sons, an award-winning independent family-owned distiller founded by William Grant in 1886 and today still controlled by his direct descendants. The Company distils some of the world’s leading brands of scotch whisky, including Grant’s, the world’s favorite single malt Glenfiddich, and the handcrafted range of The Balvenie single malts, as well as selected other spirits, including Hendrick’s Gin.

Ludo Ducrocq
Grant's Whisky International Ambassador, the man who travels the world just to help whiskey lovers understand the brand better than anyone, his name is Ludo Ducrocq.

He was appointed in September 2009 as the first ever Global Ambassador of Grant's Whiskey.

Tasked with travelling to the 180 countries where our famous blend is enjoyed every day, his role is to inspire people with the incredible Grant’s story and help whisky enthusiasts understand where all the flavours in their whiskies come from.

His enthusiasm and appreciation of whisky began 12 years ago when he started working for the Grant family as a Distillery Tour Guide. Today, he feels privileged to represent Scotland’s oldest and most popular family-owned blend. He also feels extremely fortunate to be able to work with loyal and dedicated colleagues and he couldn’t have asked for better mentors than the many craftsmen who have worked for the company for several decades, especially, their Master Blender, their coopers and their coppersmith who taught him most of what he knows. @ludo1887

We spotted Zakes Bantwini who was very brief at the event.

This beautiful lady is a presenter but excuse me for forgetting her name and other details, but I'll find out!
