In less than two years of her ‘Back at
Home’ album release. The renowned Jazz vocalist will be taking center
stage at the 2013 14th Cape Town International Jazz Festival. Rossie stage
9:00 PM, 6 April- Sonti Mndebele will make her comeback a remarkable
performance. Accompanied by her South African based giant full band.
Featuring the likes of Laurence Matshisa, Nduduzo Makathini, Kaya Mahlangu and
Thomas Dyani amongst other 13 piece band members.
Sonti is happy to be back at home where she
belongs. Paying tributes to the late Mama Miriam Makeba whom she worked with
for years. During this year’s Cape Town Jazz, Sonti will be singing songs of
freedom and sharing her journey in exile. Remembering the Marikana victims
whilst looking at the better united Mzansi. Rehearsals are taking place
now and for the past three weeks, making sure she delivers the best.
Jazz lovers can be sure not to miss the heavy live
performance by Sonti. From designed costume, sound, stage and lights, sanity
and her band are ready for Cape Town Jazz.

response I am getting from my fellow South Africans and people abroad ever
since the announcement of the Cape Town Jazz. I will be making a storming
performance” concludes Sonti Mndebele.

- Sonti has performed before her Majesty – The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and President Nelson Mandela on the occasion of his state visit to London at the Royal Albert Hall.
- The experience that Sonti gained through these performances secured her audience in Britain, Europe, USA, Africa, Canada and Australia and also every musicians dream, an appearance at the Grammy Awards.
- Venues at which she has performed include Wembley Arena, The Apollo Theater and Madison Square Gardens.
- On tour with the Paul Van Kemenade Quintet and the South African musicians Feya Faku, Sydney Mnisi and Bheki Khoza in the Netherlands.
- Participation in the Music and Migration Concerts with Hugh Masekela and his band in London, Paris and Budapest.

- Performances at the A.U and U.N in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
