Moses Mabhida Stadium - Durban, South Africa |
Do or Die-Bafana Bafana!
Today - It's a simple equation on the paper for South Africa’s
national-team, not geometry neither trigonometry equation at all, win against
Angola (Wednesday) and the rainbow Nation hopes remain alive, but lost, then we
might as well kiss 2013 AFCON goodbye, at home! Sounds easily attainable on the
paper but on the green grass of Moses Mabhida Stadium; might not be just as
easy as we've seen previous games.
But one thing for sure, significant changes in personnel and
formations need to emerge if we are to win. Katlego ‘killer’ Mphela is needed to
fire on all cylinders and our midfielders need to start showing artistic and
incredible creativity for our ‘poor’ strikers. And another exposed department
on Saturday was our leadership on the field-which has been just hopeless and
fruitless. Bongani Khumalo has to stand up and be counted as a leader and show
the way.
It will be a disgraced if we are failing again to progress
through to the next stage, after what happened at the World Cup 2010. That will
mean we are not leaner’s but persists in fruitless plans. South Africa has to
show character and determination together with a sense of urgency today. Time
for crying babies are over now, in fact long time ago, players have to be
accountable and put their hands up and deliver for the Nation.
The Nation is behind you Mr. Gordon and your sub-standard
team go to Moses Mabhida and deliver for the Nation, I hope to see more
players, Serero, Melange, Chabangu, Rantie, Palau and Co.
