My TOP ten 2012 picture brought some calmness

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”  ― Karl Lagerfeld

As the Photographer for GoXtra News I had my personal moments where I got personally attached when taking images. To take a picture of someone brings some tranquillity internally, I feel sad when I did not get the perfect picture. As a photographer you get pushed, you undermined, you're nobody, especially when having to work with Photographers from bigger publications or image companies. This job is not easy, sometimes you have to be rude or rather firm to get the picture that you need.

Anyway, I don't want to give a lecture about photography; here are some of the images I enjoyed shooting.

Lira is one photogenic artist I know, she makes a photographers' very easy. I loved every picture of her that I took from various events. My best moment of this picture is when she screen munched it and shared it with her Twitter followers, I felt my job was appreciated and well-done.

This lovely butt showing picture was taking at the Nominees party of the 2012 Feather Awards. This was before Tina got shot to a wheelchair, she was still kicking like the usual Prosper's Tina. People like Amstel and Tina go to the extremes to make a Photographer's job easy...

Mo & Mome - another couple that goes to the sky to pose for great images. Especially Mome, she's lovely to shoot I must say...

Thandiswa Mazwai is not very easy to shoot, so your camera must be well on settings so that you take multiple shots at the same time. You aim, the next thing she's moved or jumped to the other side of the stage. But this was my best captured moment of her performing at Zoo Lake, Arts Alive Festival.

Donovan Goliath - he's a comedian with a taste of the Nguni languages. There's just something about the picture. Pictures like this are hard to capture but yet the huge smile to the ears is captured!

Pearl Thusi - she's so easy to shoot, especially if her make-up is well done and the venue lighting allows. I loved her pose, her smile was from the heavens. I don't want to talk about her amazing hairstyle that completed the image with style...

High heels! She's Zenande aka Noluntu on popular SA soapie Generations. I loved to shoot her, shooting she was also influenced by the love I have for their television family, the Memela's. Look close, her bright smile, I see Gcina Mhlophe!

From Soweto TV to present the Link on SABC 1 is Lerato and her brother Thato - I loved their connection, they gave me the best picture. And congratulations to Lerato for the recent SABC 1 gig, go sister and please don't get big headed at any given point!

Nomhle - she released an album titled 'Ikwezi Morning Star' - she was nominated two times for the MTN SAMA Awards 2012 but she got away with just that, being nominated. I love this woman, she gives the best babies, of course in terms of pictures. All the best Nomhle...

With RESPECT - I close with Jazz Legend Vusi Mahlasela... Very kind to talk to, humbles himself even to the youngest journalist alive. "If you have a talent, it's like a mother who's carrying a babe, what the baby is doing? Growing..." Said Vusi Mahlasela during our interview at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival this year...
