“Music
doesn’t lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can
only be done through music” ( Jimmy Hendrix )
Matlombe Events and Entertainment will be hosting the
first annual “ Ingoma Yam” Live Music Festival on Decdember 7, 2012.This event follows a series of monthly showcases where different bands
performed at Kaldi's Coffee from June 2, up to the last
monthly showcase on September 22, we were in partnership with Central
Johannesburg College (Crown Mines Campus) and Kaldi's Coffee in Newtown.
The monthly
shows ended in September and we used October and November to plan
the upcoming December Festival. Ingoma Yam! Live Music Festival aims to
honor our very hard working unique musical artists who are making a significant
contribution to the music industry. The festival aims to promote most unsigned and unrecorded artists in and around
Johannesburg. The vision is to give these dedicated artists an opportunity to
be seen and heard by most of the South African music industry Stakeholders. We
are seeking support from identified organizations, Institutions and corporate
companies in making sure we can be able to get assistance in selling at least
1000 tickets for the main venue and about 50 tickets for the VIP section.
The Event
will be held at the Bassline Jazz club situated at 10 Henry Nxumalo street
Newtown, Johannesburg South Africa, and
we will be using the main venue and the smaller venue will be allocated to VIP
ticket holders and media representatives. We have two tickets available for the
event, the one ticket costs R200 and will include entrance to the International
Black Music Exhibition at Museum Africa. The VIP ticket costs R350 and will
include a three course Vegan dinner.
