Ligwalagwala
FM gave students a good motivation to start their exams inspired knowing that
the tuition fee for the year ahead is covered. Four students from different
institutions are praising Ligwalagwala FM for contributing R10 000 towards
their tertiary tuition fee. This comes after the Vul’ngcondvo (Open your mind)
bursary competition that was hosted by Sweetmike on the Midday Show every
Friday. Sharing his experience, Sweetmike had this to say: “It was really
touching to be able to give someone a brighter future. Enriching a life is not
like coming to the studio to play music daily. The money will go a long way in
helping the students to reach their dreams.”
The
competition ended on Friday (09/11/2012), it ran on air for a period of four
weeks, one winner was selected each week. The R40, 000.00 will be split between
the four winners; each will receive R10, 000.00 that will be deposited towards
their tuition fees before the end of December 2012. The first winner of the
competition is a fourth year Psychology student from Pienaar, Khethiwe
Mashigoane, who studies at Medunsa Campus.
