Macufe Main event - as anticipated the Amstel Golden Hour presented the great Zonke Dikana with her latest hot songs, Jiki 'Zinto and Feeling. She delivered the awesome performance which was aided by an orchestra - she was later joined by Unathi Msengana who also dazzled the audience with her latest song titled, Kwa Nolali. Zonke also invited her older sister Lulu Dikana to mesmerize the audience with her strong and firm voice.

Zonke who was so fascinating and energetic thrilled and dazzled the audience to huge screams, though an admission needs to be pointed out, not everyone was familiar with her sound but they loved her.

Leaving the likes of Zahara, Angie Stone and Randy Crawford, Zonke was the highlight of the evening, her music greatly speaks to a broader audience, of course as the understanding of her sound will hopefully with opportunities presented by the Amstel Golden Hour  and many more grow.

Legendary Caiphus Semenya and Letta Mbulu also shared the stage, well, Mr Semenya ageing is something that we cannot argue with, he can no longer hit the high notes as per before. Mam' Letta one could argue for a retirement package, she sounded rather different that the old time Letta Mbulu.

The audience loved Joe Sample and Randy Crawford - as far as one is concerned time might be gone, but the soothing legendary sound is still there, if you want a relaxed performance, well, Randy Crawford is your choice. She won yesterday because she was not by any chance closing the show, compared to the Indoor Jazz lineup where the audience started to walk out one by one.

South African legend Ringo Madlingozi seems to be chasing the vibe with the audience and he seems not to dissapoint at all. The audience went crazy when Radebe (clan name) sang one of his hits, Doli.

The late Lucky Dube's band, One People, performed a great tribute to the late legendary Dube.

Overall, the event was great, well planned, well done, great performances, security measures were in place and the crowd was controllable.

This year's broke all previous records: Divas Concert, Main Music Festival and Macufe Cup all sold out. In addition, our estimation is that Gospel, Comedy and Indoor Jazz got the largest numbers ever!

Today our focus will be on the Macufe Cup - Kaizer Chiefs vs. Bloemfontein Celtic...
