Umhlobo Wenene FM Listeners are swollen with pride

The management of a trendy South African radio station Umhlobo Wenene has once done the Xhosa (A Nguni language) listeners swollen with pride to listen to their favourite station’s afternoon drive slot by bringing the once popular radio Dj Casey Mthobeli August (Who always remained popular on Facebook). This pronouncement has brought respect to the station from the youth who adores the wonderful and funny radio disc jockey.

We have to however congratulate Mr Phumzile Mnci (Acting Manager) and his crew for making a wise management decision like this. Their popular breakfast show Breakfast Eyondlayo Ekuseni (BBE), hosted by Putco Mafani will now partner up with another tough slot that will also draw advertisers massively to the station.

When Casey left the station the slot was flooded with ads but that changed with time as Amaza Ntshanga took over. Trust, we’ll be listening together and once again the Radio Audience Measurement Survey (RAMS) will increase with this positive change by the station.

People called in to welcome the Dj back and they showed their love, memories and yet are geared to cherish Mthobeli like before. The show is fresh with a new name “Masigoduke,” meaning let’s go home.
