Former Idols SA Contestant Zanoxolo King Announces The Release Of His Debut Single Oko!

Former Idols SA contestant Zanoxolo King Mciteka, from the Eastern Cape, is excited to announce the release of his highly anticipated debut single, Oko, on Friday, October 28th, 2022.

Oko made its debut on Oskido's "I Believe" on his Metro FM Saturday show, and it's set to become one of the summer's go-to Afro-soul ballads.

The song is being released exclusively by Content Connect Africa in collaboration with Amayo Management Agency, under the guidance of well-known talent manager Oyama Dyosiba, who has previously managed superstars such as Zahara, Luyolo Yiba, Nathi Mankayi, and many more. 

Oko is a melodic afro-soul ballad that showcases Zanoxolo King's vocal prowess and writing ability. The song is bilingual, with Xhosa and English lyrics.

On the 20th of November 2022, Zanoxolo will perform on the Leano stage in Braamfontein in celebration of the single at The Love & Worship Experience with Zanoxolo King. The single will be followed by a massive EP, which will be released early next year.

Zanoxolo King's management shared that they are excited to share more information about his amazing collaborations in due course. 

Oko is about unrequited love and what looking into one's life and self-love can produce. The song emphasizes the tones of self-doubt and a lack of worth that one feels as a result of a cycle of thoughts influenced by the relationship.

The song describes the singer's current state after the relationship ended. "I'm bigger now, stronger now, happier now," Zanoxolo King sings in his lyrical content.
