South Africa's "it" girl Bonang Matheba has lashed out at the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, after he tweeted bragging that he has arrived in Doha, Qatar, following the mess he left in the country!
"Landed in Qatar Doha good morning," said Fikile Mbalula.
Bonang Matheba didn't take this lightly, telling him that the community of Pongola needs him.
"Tone deaf. All of you. You should’ve cancelled this trip. The community of #Pongola needs you," wrote Bonang.
She also took a swipe at President Ramaphosa, who's also out of the country for an official visit abroad, including having attended the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral.
She said both Fikile and Cyril lack compassion and empathy, emphasizing that she is heartbroken.
ENCA, reports that up to 21 people, mostly children, died when a bakkie and a truck collided on the N2 highway in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Friday.
The publication further reports that the police launched a widespread manhunt after the truck driver fled the scene.
The driver has handed himself over to police and is expected to appear in the Pongolo Magistrate Court on Monday.
