Nicki Minaj Returns With 'Megatron'

WORLD NEWS: Nicki Minaj is back! The Queens native launches into the next era of music with Megatron on Friday (June 21), which is only the start of what should be a very busy day for the "Super Bass" rapper, Billboard reports.

In addition to the Mr. Vegas-sampling track's release, Nicki also delivered a colorful visual for Megatron as the clock struck midnight on the East Coast.  Minaj's last installment came back in March while she was touring Europe.

According to reports the 36-year-old came out of hiding earlier this week to end her three-month social media drought and announce the plans for new music, much to the delight of the starving Barbz fan base. Now, what we stand to see is if this kicks off the album roll-out for Nicki's fifth LP (Long Play).

According to Forbes Megatron turns any dance floor into a beach side club the minute it begins. 

"It's the sort of song  that will have everyone moving, possibly at functions for years to come. The colorful video, which features the rapper in next to nothing (another hint to the season) also makes the viewer want to get up and join the fun," - Forbes.

Megatron is the first single Minaj has released as a lead artist in 2019. The rapper, who has become just as well-known for featuring on songs fronted by other artists as for her onw tunes, has been fairly quiet when it comes to lending her talents this year as well, only contributing a few verses to songs by high profile musicians like Avril Lavigne and Chris Brown.

In addition to what to spoken word out there, "Megatron is a song to really look-out for, especially to those Nicki fans who have been waiting for her comeback. The summer will never be the same," - GoXtra News.

It’s not clear yet whether or not Megatron will end up as a standalone track or if it’s the first sample of a new album, which could arrive at any point.
