e.tv To Harvest New Drama Series

Left to Right: Masasa Mbangeni, Petronella Tshuma, Khanya Mkangisa, Muzi Mathebula and Vatiswa Ndara
From the creators of Scandal! comes e.tv's hot new drama series, Harvest. Based on the premise of three strong women in a 'man's world', Harvest covers all the aspects of family, love and betrayal in a cutthroat illegal business sector. The series will premiere on Monday, May 1st 2017 on e.tv and eHD.

The explosive drama series, follows the story of three women, Celia, Clementine and Tshepiso who are forced to take over an illegal business when their husbands are tragically murdered. The wives (now Widows) have to continue running the illegal business, which is under the guise of a global frozen foods empire.

Harvest answers the question: “Why do we make the choices that we make?” by focusing on the real trials and tribulations of women fighting for recognition in the high-stakes business world as mothers, lovers, sisters and bosses.

Harvest is the first of its kind on e.tv and it’s one we’re sure is going to keep our viewers captivated - and generate plenty of debate,” says Managing Director for e.tv, Marlon Davids.

Taking on the lead role of Celia is SAFTA award-winner Masasa Mbangeni who assumes the position of leadership in the business. Vatiswa Ndara plays Clementine, a business partner and frenemy to Celia. Khanya Mkganisa will take on the role of Tshepiso, the young trophy wife who is naïve when it comes to her late husband’s business operations.
Viewers will also see the likes of Muzi Mathebula as Richard, a man who harbours a deep secret, Mutodi Neshehe as Mandla, Celia’s lousy husband, Simphiwe Mini as Zimba, Clementine’s genial and loving husband and Nat Ramabulana as Mxolisi, Tshepiso’s newly ‘acquired husband’.

Kagiso Modupe, known for portraying Mangi on the channel's popular soapie Scandal! joins the cast as Thabiso; while the rest of the stellar cast includes Petronella Tshuma,  Anathi Seyisi, Lutho John, Oros Mampofu, Rami Chuene, Fezile Makhanya, Thenjiwe Moseley, Lebohang Motaung, Batsile Ramasodi and Junior Singo.

Harvest premieres on Monday, May 1st at 9:30PM on e.tv and eHD on OpenView HD.
