Sifiso Nene To Host 99% ZULU COMEDY In Secunda!

The biggest vernacular and only widest touring stand-up comedy brand in South Africa returns to Secunda’s Graceland Casino for the second and last time this year before its massive 10th anniversary in 2015 in what is to be a night of unforgettable side-splitting laughter.

The 99% Zulu Comedy tours seven Provinces also through its sister brands, 99% Xhosa; Sotho and Tswana, which is soon to launch in Botswana and Lesotho during the 10th anniversary next year.

The Producers of the upcoming and popular 99% Zulu Comedy in Secunda have assembled what will go down as the comedy show of the year in Mpumalanga with a mixture of an experienced and never been-seen-before line-up of 9 professional comics that are originally from various parts of the country.

The lineup consists of such experienced names as Thapelo Kingflat Mametja; Simphiwe Shembe; Siyanda Maphumulo; Smokey Nyembe; Pelepele Mchunu; the multi-award winning Elton Mduduzi Ntuli and Pretoria’s rising star and one of the very few female comedians, Noko Moswete. Sifiso Nene will host the show for the evening.

The multi-award winning comic and one of KZN’s most celebrated Sifiso Nene, who features in various television campaigns, will host the second night with another mought-watering lineup.

Sifiso launched his career in 2009 when he won the first season of the TV reality show on SABC 1 the So You Think You Are Funny. He has since never looked back.  In 2012 he won the Audience Choice Award at the Comics Choice Awards.  In the same year in October 2012 he won the SATMA Awards as the Best Indigenous Comedian.  In 2013 he won yet again the Audience Choice Award at the Comics Choice Awards making 2 years in a row. In 2013 he was starring on a television slap-stick, Taxi Ride series on MNET’s Mzansi Magic.

He is currently starring on Standard Bank TV commercials, and has earlier in the year published his first book titled Our Father.  The Empangeni-born Sifiso headlines various shows around the country, with Blacks Only being the most notable.

“I cannot wait to perform in front of what has become one of my home crowds for the first time this year”, he says. “The line-up that Monwabisi Grootboom has assembled for me is one of the greatest under one roof.

“We wish to thank the people of South Africa, and in particular Mpumalanga Province for receiving us so well and for the continued support of this brand”, said Monwabisi Grootboom, Producer. “While we have had our patrons leaving buying tickets for the last minutes, the trend has been changing to the opposite in recent shows countrywide. We therefore encourage people to buy their tickets as soon as possible as the show will soon sell-out as is the new norm”.
