Collaboration is the name of the game when it comes to the
Castle Lite Extra Cold Music concert. Not only has SA’s fastest growing and
largest premium beer, Castle Lite, teamed up with multiple award-winning super
producer Timbaland to curate the highly anticipated music experience, but the
already powerful line-up seems to be collaborating amongst each other to bring music
lovers a one-of-a-kind musical extravaganza.
In case you missed it, Timbaland himself is producing the
Extra Cold Music concert which includes a line-up of Wiz Khalifa, Nas and a
host of exciting local artists including multiple SAMA award winning Mi Casa,
Spoek Mathambo, Black Coffee, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Clock with Beatenberg, and
Reason.
Castle Lite is pleased to announce that, in addition, Nas
will be collaborating with the acclaimed Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra AND the
Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. The
Jingle Punks Hipsters are known for their distinctive and thrilling takes on
contemporary pop classics, all propelled by violins, cello’s and ukuleles.
Whilst they only consist of 6 members, joining the ensemble of 26 members from
the JPO will most certainly be an epic experience.
But this is not all… it has also been announced that local
award-winning “Jika”-stars Mi Casa will be collaborating with the legendary and
iconic Ladysmith Black Mambazo for a performance like no other. This unique
partnership will undoubtedly have music lovers jiving to the majestic sounds of
these two popular groups.
“Ladysmith Black Mambazo is a legendary group that we
have always looked up to and aspired to work with one day. When were booked to
perform at Castle Lite’s Extra Cold Music Concert, it was an opportune time to
collaborate considering the nature of the event,” comments Mi Casa. Fans can
expect a Capella sounds from Ladysmith Black Mambazo infused with the beats and
vocal talent that Mi Casa has become known for, as together they perform an
Extra Special set on the night. “Fans can expect nothing but the best!”
concludes Mi Casa.
Whilst on the topic of acclaimed “duos”, concert goers will
also be hosted by popular 5fm DJ Warras “The Shady Lurker” who will be sharing
the stage with the sexy Pearl Thusi during the experience.
Supersport Park itself will be transformed into a state of
the art, open air musical experience, with sensational sound, LED visuals as
well as unique Castle Lite bars and chill zones. Add to this some 20 000 people
draped in an all-white dress code who will be descending on the venue in
alliance to the brand’s commitment to promoting responsible consumption of
alcohol.
It doesn't end here – concert goers will also have the
opportunity to download the freshest music performed at the event straight to
their mobile phones, at the free WIFI zones situated around the venue. As if
all of this wasn't enough, Castle Lite’s latest mobile innovation will also be
making an appearance – the “X-Cold GP truck” – Apart from its obvious good
looks, X-COLD GP boasts a host of #ICE features which take Castle Lite’s
experiential focus to the next level!
This innovative, interactive and
entertaining refreshment mobile has an on-board Chill Blaster that is able to
refrigerate your Castle Lite in less than ten seconds, and a built-in fridge
that chills up to 70 cases of beer simultaneously, as well as draft taps and
an ice maker. Several interactive touch points have also been developed which
offer consumers an opportunity to engage and interact with the vehicle in an
extraordinary manner, which will guarantee to get the party started!
