Castle Milk Stout Set To Unearth The Best Singing Talent In SA!

Are you the next best singing talent in SA? Or perhaps you have that ultra smooth sound and rich vocals that can melt the heart away?

If this is the case, your moment to shine has arrived, because Castle Milk Stout has launched a brand new talent search platform – the Castle Milk Stout Unplugged Vocalist Search.

Having started this month until the end of September 2014, Metro FM will feature one artist between 12h45 and 13h20 in the CMS Unplugged show on Paul Mtirara’s Chill Factor. The artist with the most public votes for the month, will go on to battle it out against finalists from other months, with the final winner receiving a professionally recorded 6-track demo and a R25 000 cash prize!

Besides bringing their raw talent to a national radio audience, the stories, videos and performances of these aspiring singers will be shared on the Castle Milk Stout Facebook page, where listeners can follow their progress through the various rounds.

According to Julian Remba, Castle Milk Stout General Manager, “This concept is a natural progression from our Unplugged Series which we launched last year. We showcased the very best of Mzansi’s singing talent in various settings around the country and this time around we thought we’d take it up a notch, by finding and introducing our undiscovered singing talent.”

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Aspirant singers/entrants need to record a demo track and submit it to Castle Milk Stout and/or Paul Mtirara at METRO FM.

Castle Milk Stout and METRO FM will choose four quarter-finalists every month from the demos received between April and September 2014.

Every month, all four will be contacted and will need to make their own way to Johannesburg to record three songs in studio: Mi Casa’s “Heavenly Sent” and two songs of their own choice.

Paul will interview them on the Sunday Metro FM Castle Milk Stout Unplugged show.

The public will choose one semi-finalist each month by voting on the Castle Milk Stout Unplugged Facebook Page.

At the end of October 2014 there will be six semi-finalists.

These six will perform live, along with leading local artists at one of the three main Castle Milk Stout Unplugged events in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban.

After these events, the six semi-finalists' performances will be aired on the Metro FM Castle Milk Stout Unplugged show and the public will vote on Facebook for their favourite from each city.
Once we announce our three finalists, there'll be a week of voting via Facebook to choose our final winner. He or she will be announced on 14 December 2014, on the Metro FM Castle Milk Stout Unplugged show.
