AFTER Court battles: Royalty Soapie Awards to take place in Durban ICC!

AFTER huge success of drama, court battles and insults that followed the Royalty Soapie Awards - founded by Generations' Khethiwe, real name Winnie Ntshaba who also went into a bitter divorce last year with ex-hubby Thabo Modise. Winnie was also accused by Tabloid papers for allegedly beating the hell out of her husband - whom according to the Sunday papers didn't have sex for at least two years with Winnie!

Is is also alleged that Winnie is doing the awards to be able to provide audit reports (She apparently failed to produce) to the Durban Municipality. 


The much anticipated Royalty Soapie Awards set to take place on Saturday, 8 March 2014 at the Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC). 


Fans not able to attend the awards will get to see South Africa’s soap stars, industry heavyweights, celebrities and socialites in a 72-minute special that will cover all the action from the red carpet to the awards presentation.

There are 20 categories that cover a comprehensive spectrum that goes into making a great soapie. The categories include performance awards and technical production categories. Over 100 entries were received and Isibaya leads the pack as a finalist with 19 nominations across all categories.

Royalty Soapie Awards project director Sindile Xulu says, “As a team we are thrilled to have the inaugural awards broadcast made accessible to the widest possible audience.  It will be a night of glamour, entertainment and celebration for all to see".
