In just 10 days, one of the eight remaining Housemates on BIG BROTHER MZANSI SECRETS will have won the R 1 million grand prize, bringing the exciting 63 day reality series to an end. But in the unpredictable Big Brother house where alliances and relationships change from minute to minute and hour to hour, the next ten days is sure to deliver great entertainment!
STAR POWER: On Sunday, 30 March during the penultimate live
eviction show screened exclusively on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at
19:00, Kwaito queen and Boom Shaka star Thembi Seete as well as Durban based
rising stars Dreamteam will take to the Big Brother stage. Meanwhile on
Saturday night (29 March), DJ Shimza will be bumping up the music for the
Housemates during the weekly dance-a-thon in the Party Room!
TAKE THE 501 TO CANADA: This past week
former Big Brother Canada Housemate Emmett has been making himself right at
home on BIG BROTHER MZANSI SECRETS, stirring up the Housemates’
curiosity about what his role exactly is. From getting the Housemates to clean
up after themselves, to having ‘dates’ with Iris, Loko and a clearly annoyed
Lexi, he’s been hard to miss at the centre of all the action.
But his
stay in the House is coming to an end and when he leaves it will be interesting
just how the relationships have changed, especially the Loko/Poolie romance
which seems to have been the most effected by his presence. And given that he
arrived in the game in dramatic fashion, it’s pretty much guaranteed that he’ll
leave the same way.
Of course, his departure will coincide with Sol and Kat
returning to the House after their time out in Suite 501 where they seemed to
get cosy and cross with each other in equal parts. Of course, Kat still thinks
that Lexi was derogatory about her so it remains to be seen if she will see her
plan through to disrupt Mandla and Lexi’s relationship. Of course, she will
first have to convince everyone that she did in fact go to Canada.
BITTERSWEET REUNIONS: This past week
Biggie has also amped up the Statue Game, sending in friends and family to meet
and greet the Housemates ensuring that the temptation for the Housemates not to
move and break their freeze position is becoming harder and harder. Kat’s best friend
headed into Suite 501, while Loko’s bestie visited her as well but it was the
bittersweet few minutes that Iris’ brother spent in the House talking to her,
as she sat in stunned silence that melted hearts! As tears rolled down Iris’
face, he stroked her hair, hugged her and told her that she had made her family
proud.
END OF THE ROAD: With Iris, Lexi,
Mandla and Poolie all nominated this week, Sunday (30 March) is going to be a
challenging eviction show for all the couples. Iris and MK have a connection of
sorts despite Kat’s Jacuzzi antics, while Lexi and Mandla’s relationship
ignited from day one. Meanwhile Loko and Poolie have also bonded deeply it
seems, so whomever leaves is going to leave someone they’ve come to care for
behind. It’s going to be tense for them all as they wait to discover just who
is going home but romance is definitely going to be among the questions series
host Lungile Radu poses to this week’s unlucky evictee.
TRAVEL BUG: Meanwhile the last few days have seen the Housemates
focus on their travel task, cooking foreign meals, learning exotic dances and
speaking with a variety of different accents. From paella to salsa, the
Housemates went around the world in just a few days. And while they don’t have
stamps in their passport, they’ve definitely enjoyed their global adventures.
So make sure you stay tuned to BIG
BROTHER MZANSI SECRETS, live 24/7 on DStv channels 197 and 198 though the
Sunday shows at 19:00 are exclusive to Mzansi Magic.
