GENERATIONS' Actress dies!

Actress Aletta Majola, who played Khethiwe’s grandmother in Generations, has died.
She died in Christ Hani Baragwanath hospital in Soweto at 10am on Thursday.  She was 77-year-old when she passed on.
“On Tuesday ugogo got very sick and she went for her usual check-up on in Baragwanath. We got a shock of our lives as a family when we received a phone call on Thursday that she’s no more,” says emotionally Zandi as quoted by Drum Magazine.

Zandi adds that the doctors have told the family she got very sick and she was taken to theatre for gallbladder removal.
“Now that post-mortem came out saying she died an unnatural death—we want answers from the hospital since they did the procedures without consulting the family,” she fumes.
She adds, “We believed the operation wasn’t a success.  But our focus at the moment is to give ugogo a decent funeral. We’ll follow up with the hospital after the funeral.”
In 2010 Aletta  was diagnosed with gallstones, since then she’s been in and out of hospital.
Generations wasn’t her first TV job, she has made a mark for herself in the showbiz industry; recently she had a cameo in Long Walk To Freedom.
Ugogo Aletta is survived by her grandson, five grandchildren and four-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Phiri in Soweto at 11.
