The 5th Annual Sixties Weekend that took place in
Mpumalanga were once again an event to remember.
A festival of urban and soulful sounds brought a dynamic
vibe to Nelspruit yet again this year, Mpumalanga came alive during September
as the 5th installment of MPUCA Annual 60s Weekend” returns with a scintillated
weekend of good music, tourism and entertainment.
The event attracted a mélange of ethnicities from across the
country, young and old for this exciting and progressive city.
Including a hot line-up of performers such as DJ Black
Coffee, Big Nuz, Zola7, Pastor Mbhobho (The Entertainer) and other Mzansi’s
household names.
Pastor Mbhobho real name, Sizwe Magwaza. |
The event kicked started from 26th – 29th September 2013
when revellers and tourists from all over Southern and South Africa gathered at
some of Mpumalanga’s iconic locations.
The big question on everyone’s lips was about whether Zola7
(Bonginkosi Dlamini) is finally back? This happened after few media reports
that he was indeed making a comeback. It was sealed when he did an awesome
performance at the 60s in Nelspruit.
On the left is Pastor Mbhobho, real name Sizwe Magwaza who felt undermined by a Festival Goer at the Sixties after they took off the Pastor's sweaty weave.
He shouted, "I am here to work! I am an entertainer," and then he ran away from the bully to avoid people looking at him. He was with Zola 7 and the Guluva Entertainment Crew.
There are also reports that Pastor Mbhobho is broke and living on hands out!
Well, it didn’t start
in Mpumalanga and it will never end there - Maftown 60s proudly presents DJ Spen & Karizma for
the 16th Annual Maftown Event – 30 November 2013 and tickets are available at
Computicket.
