FINAL CHANCE TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE IN THIS YEAR’S HEAT MANWATCH COMPETITION!

Liaan Ferreira
More than 100 regular guys with good looks and great bodies believe they have what it takes to be crowned this year’s heat ManWatch winner after entering the competition, which is an annual highlight on heat magazine’s calendar. Voting at heat.co.za takes place until Thursday, 4 July 2013, whereafter the top 10 finalists will be announced in heat magazine (on sale 5 July 2013).

The winner of heat ManWatch 2013 will score a walk-on part in popular SABC3’s soapie Isidingo, a cash prize of R10 000 and the starring role in a scorcher of a shoot in heat.

Most entries this year were received from the Western Cape (40), followed by Gauteng (32), Kwazulu Natal (28), North West Province (3), Eastern Cape (2), Mpumalanga (2) and Limpopo (1). The ages of the contestants range from 18 to 43 years old, with the majority of entrants being models, students, fitness instructors or qualified graduates.

This is the fifth year that heat is running the heat ManWatch competition. Previously, the popular magazine had one winner from Kwazulu Natal, and three from Gauteng.

Says Andre Neveling, editor of heat magazine: “We’re so pleased with this year’s entries, not only by the amount we received, but also by the fact that the majority are worthy of walking away with the title. Voting is fierce at the moment, and it’s still anyone’s game. So continue to vote, vote and vote for your favourite!”

Those who vote also stand a chance of winning more than R38K worth of prizes every week, including cameras, sunglasses, smartphones, watches and much more.

Previous winners of the heat ManWatch title included Jaco de Bruyn (2009), Christo du Plessis (2010), Daniel Wessels (2011) and Kobus Muller (2012), who all enjoyed a boost in their careers thanks to the spotlight that heat placed on them.
