Snippets from the MTN SAMA 19: Despite the fact that we were hungry!

He's such a KING! Donald at the MTN SAMA 19
Sun City Superbowl, North West was the place to be at the Weekend! Mzansi’s artists have wonderful talent  that is now reaching international standards equally and believe me if you missed the MTN SAMA 19, better start putting some savings away for next year.

And Kelly Khumalo made sure that she shows the audience that despite her fall and being reported as a recovering drug addict, she’s back!

Known for her hot single Qinisela, Kelly was transported to the stage like a Queen and performed very well. Among Kelly were the likes of, Khuli Chana who set the stage on fire, Lira, DR Malinga, DJ Vetkoek vs Mahoota, DJ Zinhle and Donald wowed everyone, though he was not the man of the moment at SAMA 19!

That artist who URINATED "pee" himself! Someone's Daddy though! *Shakes head once!*

And then the moment of fame when a traditional artist urinated “pee” for himself while performing, maybe the artist was overwhelmed by the audience because it is rare to give some traditional music so much attention, despite the “pee” the artist was good.

Congrats to Kelly Khumalo for taking female of the year and Lira for the best Live DVD and the list is really long, so I don’t want to bore you, let’s get real… Here's what happened and heard at Sun City!

Congratulations Kelly for winning and now that you managed your public drinking very well!

Kelly joined the public party, after a while she disappeared! Then when the party was over, we spotted her getting out of a white Chevrolet and these were her words, “You’ve got my number!”

Amaza of uMhlobo Wenene FM and Zahara please announce this love affair now!

Congratulations to Zahara – so reports were true that you dating uMhlobo Wenene FM’s Amaza Ntshanga? Amaza was there, booked at the same hotel as Zahara, shared a breakfast table, who knows if they shared a room too? I don’t really get it why they hide their love affair because they make such a beautiful couple. Zahara can talk though some of the things she said did not make any sense at all!

Back to yo.tv and thanks to Akhumzi and Boity!

Okay! For a moment Akhumzi Jezile and Boity  Thulo made me really miss the great days of Yo.Tv and they can surely make a nice show for kiddies! How such amateurs be allowed to host an event of such standard? They had to share a mic too! So unprofessional!

No Number plates for DJ Sbu!

DJ Sbu arrived later speeding with a Porsche that did not have any number plates! Could it be he wanted to speed on the road and escape being caught by cameras? So possible as he was speeding from the main hotel side up the road to the entertainment center… "DJ Sbu makes a lot of money in public speaking so if you fail as a DJ you might want to take the same route..."

Julius Malema does not seem bothered by all the attachments to his assets!

Julius Malema also attended the event with two thin guys who appeared like bodyguards, maybe they were not thin under the suits after all! Later Juju who was followed by a group of guys and hot girls joined the public after party… Wow! Talking about a freshman who does not appear to have any problems while president Jacob is getting frail on a daily basis!

DR Malinga you cannot try to hide from the crowd!

DR Malinga is the man! When he stood up trying to keep it down while going to prepare for his performance, the audience spotted him and they went crazy! He’s such a performer and it is good to pride ourselves as a country with artists that can really entertain us…

We quote - "Pallance is a bottom... blah blah blah!"

On some celebrity’s mobile phone we saw some pictures of Pallance Dladla wearing something that appeared like lingerie and posed as some Lil’ porn girl but according to some well-placed sources in the industry, the hot Pallance is a “bottom”!

At least when we got there the smell of hot Peri-Peri that was left by the Gupta family was already gone and there were no water jars in the bathrooms, if you know what I mean…

MTN you made sure the media does not eat!

MTN can be such whack though! #Sweats! There was no food for the media for the entire event, we were hungry for the whole duration of the event and we had to buy our own food! I don’t want to talk about their media goody bag that had Berocca tablets, Cal-C-Vita and coffee creamers! LOL! On a serious note though MTN treated the media like rubbish and such cannot be allowed at all!

Thanks God that Akhumzi and Boity did not host us the Superbowl for the whole night otherwise we were going to be bored to the core! I am sure those who watched Yo.tv live on TV can agree with me…

Can more local artists who are deserving be noted?

Does it end here?  NO! Because the MTN SAMA 19 as usual did not recognize local talent fully, especially those that fall under independent record labels! And oh! Thanks to the securities who appeared like the were not fully briefed about all proceedings... and the PR Company called Crush was not friendly at all! They treated us like gibberish!

Here are some of the performances!

Because of the setup, lights and the performance above - The MTN SAMA 19 was a top class event...
