Bring Your Fire! Igniting a collective response for positive change!

The ‘Bring Your Fire’ philosophy is a conscious attempt to engage artists and audiences alike to bring their voice, to bring their contribution in whichever way they can, igniting a collective response for positive change.

On the philosophy that drives every aspect of the festival, Jiggs Thorne, Festival Director, states “MTN BUSHFIRE celebrates the human spirit, the light in all of us, to become more conscious and active participants in creating positive change for a better world. That is why, since inception, MTN BUSHFIRE, its partners and the audience have collectively raised ZAR 756, 000 for charity, setting it apart from all other festivals!”

A true festival of the Arts, visitors can browse quality hand-made goods at the Swaziland Fair Trade (SWIFT) Hand Craft Market with goods produced under the principles of fair trade. The Global Food Village features local and international culinary delights from a variety of cultures including traditional Swazi delicacies.

The KidZone and family programme ensures features interactive workshops, theatre, storytelling, poetry and music to keep the whole family entertained throughout the weekend. In addition, the KIDZONE, a playground within the festival arena features farm animals and a variety of games.

With a firm belief in the ability of art to provoke, enlighten and activate, The Barn is devoted to stimulating dialogue around topical issues by playing host to fascinating thinkers and speakers.
