Channel Highlights: SABC2 New Shows March

Following the revamping of the channel, the SABC 2 has decided to also refresh and bring some of their old shows back and here's what to look-out for in March.

There are other shows to come in April and information will follow soon.

Voetspore 3 (Mondays) - Starts Monday 18 March at 18:00

Voetspore, Agulhas to Alexandria, is an adventure documentary television series, exploring the wonders of the African Continent.

In this 26 part series Johan Badenhorst and his team travels up the east coast of Africa. The 20 000 km journey take more than thee months to complete.
Along the way they visit Mozambique, the endangered shoebills in Zambia, the century old MV Liemba on lake Tanganyika, the forests of Rwanda, they climb Mt. Kenya and cross the Chalbi Desert into Ethiopia where they visit the holy city of Aksum.


In Sudan the travel to the Red Sea before crossing the Nubian Desert to Egypt where they visit the astonishing White Desert before finishing their trip at Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast.

Afro Café 9 New Season (Wednesdays) - Starts 13 March at 22:00

AFRO Café is back with a new season that will see the programme broadcast from a brand new-studio with new format inserts introduced to the show. Afro Cafe is more than just a music programme it is developing into an institution that hosts the continents most accomplished artists, as well as the definitive platform that exposes new talent to the public.

Previous guests include luminaries like Hugh Masekela, Judith Sephuma and Abdullah Ibrahim.

It’s Gospel Time New Season (Sundays) - Starts 17 March 2013 at 20:00

ITS GOSPEL TIME is a Gospel music Show, where Gospel artists are invited to showcase their albums. We have different slots on our show that cater for the most of South Africa and hopefully beyond.

It is a program that aims at uplifting the nation and involving people to help each other.

Don't miss the Queen of Gospel Rebecca Malope - It's Gospel Time every Sunday starting from the 17 of March at 20:00 PM.
