411: Lungelo Gwala's career on the rise!


Lungelo Gwala (27) is a South African actor, well known in the broader Theatre industry. He was born in Durban, South Africa.

 His various theatre experience includes, Taxi Jam, Hungry Earth, Asinamali, Cloud Nine, Lost in the stars, The red red rose, The  Bear, Sophiatown, Too late and Sis’strata in da hood.

He led the major television Class Act, Daily Bread, Shattered Dreams and a supporting character for Bonnie. “People should work hard and I believe fame and fortune should go together.” said Lungelo. For those who watch iNkaba, he appeared as Tsotsi.

His advice to aspiring actors, “In acting you must have passion and know that in the industry it can be dry sometimes.” He told The Entertainment-home that if a person does not have the passion they can do something else.


Lungelo encourages television personalities to keep in touch with each-other and share auditions. “We share auditions and it’s the way to go forward.” He said.

Lungelo is still busy with auditions but he did not want to reveal more information.
