Found Guilty: We last saw Jub Jub enjoying a cold drink at the 60s in Nelspruit

Musician Molemo Maarohanye better known as ‘Jub Jub’ and co-accused Themba Tshabalala were found guilty on four counts of murder and two of attempted murder in the Protea Magistrate Court, on Tuesday.

The two accused failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they are innocent and "The State managed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt... that the accused are guilty on four counts of murder... two counts of attempted murder," said Magistrate Brian Nemavhidi.

The lawyers’ job has come to a wrap today as the state won the case against Jub Jub and fellow accused Themba Tshabalala.

Their drag-racing, March 10, 2010 in Protea North brought many heartaches and tears to the families of the children that were involved in this long dragged case.  Prince Mohube, Mlungisi Cwayi, Andile Mthombeni, and Phomello Masemola, were killed. Contrariwise, Frank Mlambo and Fumani Mushwana were seriously injured.

Jub Jub was last seen by our team at the Nelspruit 60s on the 29th of September enjoying the VIP section with a cold beverage at the Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga. Was that perhaps his last party time?

He seemed like someone who did not want to be identified at the 60s as he was wearing a hat, walked like someone who was mourning looking down, but we identified him regardless.

Be thankful for what you have, otherwise if it was not for the bloody drag-racing, well, your career could have been far by now...

Sentencing will take place in November, 30th... And Department of Justice already sent their felicitations to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on conviction of Jub Jub and Tshabalala. Both have been denied bail in the process of application and will remain in custody until the sentencing date.
