e.tv’s Scandal! announces new additional timeslot!

And Club 808 moves to Saturday!

Scandal!, one of e.tv’s prime-time local soapies, will be extending its time-slot to include a Friday broadcast from 5 July 2013.

The soapie, which is currently in its eighth year of Production, has experienced momentous growth in viewership and due to the extensive demand from loyal viewers to extend the Scandal offering has encouraged Channel to undertake the additional weekly episode.

Since its inception in 2005, Scandal! has not only won numerous awards but also celebrated many milestones such as the 1 500th episode last year.  The soapie also has a strong social empowerment focus, with the Scandal! Cares initiative and other community projects, with the most recent one being the debt management campaign in partnership with The World Bank.

Second chance for your education!

The producers of a new reality TV series are looking for contestants between the ages of 15 and 18 who have either failed a school grade or didn’t qualify for tertiary education. This reality series, based on Jamie’s Dream School (a UK TV series presented by Jamie Oliver), will provide a second chance for young learners who want to reignite their passion for education. 

The two-week special school offers a unique educational experience, with lessons taught by about a dozen high-profile, successful South Africans. Some learners who successfully complete the course at Dream School SA will be given a bursary to enable them to return to school for matric or to enroll at a tertiary education institution.

The Sunday Sun reported Sunday that after the drama around Vuyo’s lover Kholeka Chakanyuka at his funeral last week, more strife has blown up with his widow Savita.

The paper has reported that at first there was a fall-out between Savita and Vuyo’s mother Francinah over how she should mourn her late husband and the poor Gogo was rushed to holspital when her high-blood pressure increased.

According to Sunday Sun all 10 staff members of Zazise Communications have been fired by the dramatic Savita Mbuli.

Sources have told the paper that Savita does not respect her in-laws and she more with friends and her children…
