His anger follows an event, Mayihlome ANC Campaign which will take place on April 6 at Nkomeni Sports Ground in Pinaar. The event will feature the likes of DJ Tira, Sjava, King Monada to name just a few.
City of Mbombela Municipality’s speaker, Cllr Mandla Msibi said Comrades are not interested in his music.
"If Comrades are not interested in his music what must I do? He must not push people his work must speak for him," said Msibi.
Msibi said that he even told Shisaboy to bring his CDs and he will buy them but the artist failed to do so."There's a committee selecting music and they are not interested in his music. There are many artist in Pinaar he must not push people," said Msibi.
Msibi also said that they receive thousands of songs to select from prior to booking artists and some are local (Pinaar) artists.
Speaking to GoXtra News on Thursday Shisaboy, the faded hitmaker said that as Mpumalanga artists they want their voices to be heard.
"It's high time we stop this thing. Mpumalanga artisya are not getting love at home. Everytime they do events they close us outside, including the Mbombela Festival line-up. Now the ANC is bringing DJ Tira and that's what pisses me off. Come to think of it this event is 5 minutes away from my home and I'm not booked," said the fuming artist.
Shisaboy said that they (ANC) see his face everyday on TV and he has 10-years in the music business as a professional but all he gets is a cold shoulder.
"Umona wani (what's this jealousy for) how are you giving back as the ANC," questioned Shisaboy.
