confirmed the sensational duo Peaches & Herb and the Philadelphia soul
group Stylistics featuring Eban Brown will be performing live in Johannesburg
and Cape Town in August 2019.
Hailing
from Newark, NJ, Harold Eban Brown is a world-renowned guitarist, composer, and
singer. Motivated by a strong family support and a firm belief in God, Eban
exhibited a gift for music at an exceptionally early age. Eban began playing
guitar and singing with several gospel groups by age seven and as he became
older his interest in studying jazz guitar was influenced by Wes Montgomery,
George Benson, David T. Walker, Larry Carlton, Grant Geissman, George Duke, and
Bobby Caldwell.
In April 2000, Brown became the lead vocalist of the
world-renowned STYLISTICS, following Mr. Russell Thompkins Jr., the original
lead vocalist. As it stands, Eban is the youngest Classic Soul recording artist
in the History of Classic Soul Music. With twelve straight
Top Ten hits, including "You Are Everything," "Betcha by Golly,
Wow," "I'm Stone in Love With You," "Break Up to Make
Up," and "You Make Me Feel Brand New." The memorable Stylistics
remains one of the smoothest and sweetest soul groups of their era.
Over an illustrious career
that spanned close to five decades, Peaches & Herb have established
themselves as an international household name. This dynamic duos reputation as
a hit maker has been firmly etched into public consciousness, thanks to the nearly
sixty records that have made the charts since “Let’s Fall in Love" began
its fateful climb up the charts in the early months of 1965
The Soulful Superstars
crooners will be in Cape Town and Johannesburg during Women’s month (August) in
2019. They are set to mesmerize their fans with hit records, amazing vocals,
and an unforgettable walk down memory lane, with their greatest hits.
