Motoring: New BMW R 1200 GS Adventure and BMW R 1200 RT Hits Bavarian Motorcycles’ Floor!

Bavarian Motorcycles is excited to announce that the new 2014 BMW R 1200 GS Adventure as well as the new BMW R 1200 RT motorcycles has been on their floor since Saturday the 1^st of March. The arrivals of these much anticipated BMW motorcycle models have created a great deal of excitement for the ever-evolving Bavarian Motorcycles.
 
With its two standard fitted ride modes, Rain and Road, the new BMW R 1200 GS Adventure will conquer any type of terrain. Its 30 litre fuel tank combined with the engine's optimised fuel efficiency will make all travels more expedient and economical. 


The new R 1200 GS Adventure comes equipped with an on-board computer, which enables perfect navigation and provides the rider with useful data such as fuel level, speed and fuel consumption.

The R 1200 GS Adventure is rounded off with a newly integrated compartment, conveniently placed above the tank, allowing the rider to keep small items within reach at all times. The R 1200 GS Adventure responds dynamically in any situation thanks to the legendary 125 Nm of flat-twin torque and 125 bhp delivered by the new, water-cooled 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine.
 
The new BMW R 1200 RT has a new air/water-cooled BMW boxer engine with even more torque and 125 bhp for powerful propulsion. Its highly active electronically controlled suspension system ASC makes the RT very easy to control and offers stability for all off-road experiences. With its standard Rain and Road modes, the RT can adapt perfectly to the weather conditions and road surface as required. The Board Computer Pro and heated grips round off the range of basic equipment.
 
The new R 1200 RT’s special equipment delivers even simpler handling whilst offering an increased level of comfort. The electronic suspension BMW Dynamic ESA responds within a fraction of a second to changing surfaces, while the Shift Assistant Pro allows the rider to shift up and down without using the clutch or throttle valve. Another option available is Dynamic mode, which guarantees maximum riding fun for sporty, dynamic motorcyclists.
 
Bavarian Motorcycles’ premier customers were treated to a special sneak preview of the new models on the 26th of February at the BMW Motorrad Dealership in Centurion. Loyal customers, enthusiasts and media attended the exclusive soiree and the excitement was tangible.

Both the 2014 R 1200 GS Adventure as well as the R 1200 RT will be available at Bavarian Motorcycles in Centurion from Saturday, 1^st of March.
